The OBD-2 standard defines the exchange of vehicle-specific parameters for onboard diagnostics. As part of OBD-2, the ISO 15765-4 standard describes the CAN bus as a transmission option. With the PCAN-OBD-2 Viewer software for Windows, it is possible to display and manipulate OBD-2 data contained in electronic control units (ECUs). Communication is handled via the CAN bus.
The application was designed using PEAK-System's PCAN-OBD-2 API programming interface and is available free of charge to all users of CAN adapters.
