PCAN-Explorer 7 add-in for support of the J1939 and J1939 FD standards
The SAE J1939 network protocol describes CAN bus communication in commercial vehicles for the transmission of diagnostic data and control information. It includes the complete definition of networks using 29-bit CAN IDs. In addition to the CAN CC-based J1939 standard, the CAN FD-based J1939 FD standard has been implemented to allow higher data bit rates and improve response time.
The J1939 add-in for PCAN-Explorer supports all definitions established by the standard's Parameter Groups and provides easy access to parameters. A database containing all definitions and parameters is included and regularly updated as part of an active maintenance contract. Custom Parameter Groups can also be defined, including on the basis of the PGs in the database.
Note: The database can only be used with PCAN-Explorer 7 and the J1939 add-in.
