Coupling system for fiber-optic transmission of CAN and CAN FD data
The PCAN-LWL allows a CAN segment to be replaced by a fiber-optic section at any point in the network, whether for use in ATEX zones or for EMC measurements. It can be implemented on either high-speed CAN or low-speed CAN. The modules require an external power supply.
The PCAN-LWL is compatible with CAN FD buses, with a maximum data bit rate of 5 Mbit/s and a maximum nominal bit rate of 500 kbit/s.
