Programmable router for CAN and CAN FD buses
The PCAN-Router FD provides connectivity to two CAN or CAN FD buses. Built around an ARM Cortex M4F microcontroller, the module allows the behavior and data routing between the CAN FD channels to be freely programmed. It notably handles conversion from CAN to CAN FD and vice versa, which simplifies integrating CAN FD applications into existing CAN 2.0 networks.
Firmware is developed using the programming library and the GNU compiler for C and C++, then transferred to the module via the CAN bus. The PCAN-Router FD ships with default firmware whose source code is included with delivery.
The module comes in an extruded aluminum housing. Two variants are available: with D-Sub connectors or with a screw terminal block.
Requirements
A PEAK-CAN interface is required to load the firmware via the CAN bus.
