CAN adapter cable, D-Sub to M12 circular connector
Thanks to their ruggedness and enhanced protection against external stress, M12 circular connectors have become the standard for CAN connections in demanding environments.
The NMEA 2000® standard from the National Marine Electronics Association defines an interoperable CAN communication protocol for marine navigation and requires the use of specific M12 connectors.
The PCAN-Cable M12 connects the CAN lines of a D-Sub connector to an M12 circular connector. In accordance with the NMEA 2000® specification, dedicated shield and power lines are included. This cable thus provides connectivity with PEAK CAN interfaces.
