Termination for CAN/CAN FD networks (D-Sub 9 plug)
The Ixxat Sub-D9 connector with CAN termination provides correct termination of CAN and CAN FD buses. It is designed as a D-Sub 9 male-to-female gender changer and is used when a CAN node does not have internal termination or when no CAN node is connected at the end of the bus. In accordance with ISO 11898-2, high-speed CAN systems require termination resistors.
Key points
- Optimal signal integrity — Includes a 120 Ohm resistor, ensuring correct termination of the CAN/CAN FD bus. The resistor is placed between pins 2 (CAN-L) and 7 (CAN-H).
- Technical data overview — Insulator: glass fiber reinforced PBT / contact: brass, gold-plated over nickel / housing: tin-plated / insulation resistance: 500 MOhm min. at 500 V DC / temperature range: -55 °C to 105 °C
